While attending Brigham Young University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Exercise Science

While in college Dr. Sorge-Richards developed an appreciation for the human body and decided to pursue a fulfilling career in dentistry. 

She later completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Utah School of Dentistry.
