The tongue is a fascinating organ. It is a group of muscles not supported by bones, making it unique. We use our tongues to clean our teeth, to form words when we speak, to taste, and believe it or not, the tongue is very helpful in detecting potential infections or diseases. Your tongue is worth celebrating! But be careful in Italy, where in 2009, an Italian farmer was convicted of sticking his tongue out at a person he was arguing with. Yikes!
